ABOUT L & C MOWER PARTS!

 

   L & C Mower Parts is a family owned and operated sole proprietorship established in 2009 by Lonnie Blanton Sr. & Connie Blanton. It is currently managed by their son, Lonnie Jr. First established on State Route 97 in Sedalia, KY it quickly outgrew the meager 2400 sq. ft. and relocated to it's current establishement of 5000 sq. ft. on State Route 339 in Sedalia during spring 2012

   Lonnie Sr. has been providing small engine & outdoor power services to the Purchase area for the better part of 30+ years. Lonnie Sr. originally opened for business under the Family Small Engine Repair name on the corner of Cuba RD and Farthing ST in Mayfield during the 1985 season. In the early 1990s he sold out and took a two year hiatus from the industry. In 1992 he opened Twin Cities Lawn & Garden in what is now known as the Potonatac Center on the north side of State Line RD in Fulton, KY. In 1994, when the City of Fulton chose to purchase the building, Lonnie Sr. moved the business across the street to South Fulton, TN. 

   In 1997, when it was discovered that Lonnie Sr. suffered from allergies to many of the grasses and pollens of the West KY/NW TN areas he closed Twin Cities Lawn & Garden and moved to Naples, FL. There he purchased an existing business named Billy Bob's Small Engine. At that time his wife joined in his ventures as a pickup/delivery driver. Later, in 2002 by his youngest son Lexie and in 2003 for a short period by Lonnie Jr and his wife Nikki. Prior to the 2008 recession Lonnie made the decision to sell Billiy Bob's and move back to the Graves County area. Part of that decison was mounted with the interest he purchased by becoming partners in Mayfield Lawn & Garden. Although that partnership failed in early 2009, Lonnie Sr took the experience and established L & C Mower Parts by fall of that year. 

 

   Lonnie Jr. gained knowledge of outdoor power throughout his childhood. Often spending time at his Dad's businesses during school breaks he came to learn many valuable life lessons, as well as the basics of lawn mowers. During his high school education he was further blessed with the opportunity to participate in an elective course pertaining to small engine repair and basic electrical theory/design.

   Although life took Lonnie Jr into the construction industry during the summer of 1996 and after spending 15 years, in both residential and commercial construction, he would eventually come back to work with his Dad in late 2013. 

   Lonnie Jr. quickly recalled his small engine theory and through his experiences of part-time work in the retail industry was able to command a good knowledge of the outdoor power industry as a whole. Swiftly gaining the knowledge needed to operate both front and back ends of the business he was able to gain Master Service Technician recognition in February 2015. 

 

   Currently L & C Mower Parts provides warranty services for many equipment manufacturer's and four of the biggest engine manufacturer's. They also have provided extended warranty services for Lowe's Home Improvements, BTTW Warranty, Asurion, and are the preferred service center recommended by local Walmart Stores. Lonnie Sr. can be found most times providing actual service on equipment while Lonnie Jr can be found operating the front end of sales and service.
